The Guardian covers the idea of Slow Fashion, as Selfridges in London launch their 1st foray into Slow Fashion with their boutique "Forever Shop" in Oxford Street - a boutique for timeless designs. Check out the article for a review of the idea behind Slow Fashion.

The Herald (Glasgow) reports on Ethical Consumers recent report on outdoor/hiking gear - the materials are using oil based chemicals and the process produces highly toxic waste. The reports also points out that most of the companies researched in the report had no worker rights policy.  click here for the Herald's article

Claire Watt-Smith is the founder of BoBelle London - ethical fashion accessory brand that produces fabulous fair trade bags made from eel skin. Claire has done incredibly well over the last few years. Claire has recently made it into the 2010 "top 35 women under 35 list" from Management Today. We are delighted to say Claire is one of our suppliers in our shop - check out the lovely bags

We found a great designer who is taking the traditions of Swahili textiles to develop a modern Kenyan clothing brand Kiko Romeo. The designer, Ann McCreath, talks about why she is doing this & why we need sustainable fashion - includes great photos of the clothes

There has been much talk about the potential of more strikes in the UK. But not much press has been given to the striking garment workers in Dhaka, Bangladesh. A VSO blogger tells the story of the strike and the plight of the workers.
