The ethical categories that are included are: vintage, customised, second hand, organic, Fair trade & can include accessories. The prize include helping style the Thread Fashion show at London Fashion Week. Check out the details & get entering - lots of the current photos feature vintage - so we urge all you organic and fair trade fans to send in your photos NOW :)

The £3 Fairtrade T shirt ?!

You may have noticed the adverts by Sainsburys - piles of T shirts, Fairtrade Marked and priced at £3.00. If you have been following Fairtrade and ethical fashion news then combining the Fairtrade label with a £3 T shirt price tag kind of hurts your head - it's hard to think that it all makes sense. The Fairtrade Mark is a trusted label - it's won awards. Yet don't we all feel slightly wary when we see clothes at really low prices...

So we are delighted to discover that Abi from Fairtrade/Organic cotton pioneer Gossypium has publically addressed this issue. We urge you to ready Abi's article - what she stresses is that we should not be so eager to chase fast fashion - we all need to slow down abit - read article here.
