Event: Fair distribution in a warmer world - 16th Ocotober
The Food Ethics Council invites you to a World Food Day event chaired by Rosie Boycott, journalist, author, smallholder and recently appointed by the Mayor of London, as chair of London Food.
The event takes this year’s WFD theme of climate change and energy, and focusses on transport and distributional justice.
Carolyn Steel (author of Hungry City), Callton Young (Food and Drink Federation) and Dr. Julian Oram (World Development Movement) will spell out their visions of where our food will come from, what we’ll eat and where we’ll live in ten years time.
The debate will then be opened to the floor, and this will be followed by a reception to mark the Ethics Council’s 10th anniversary.
The event will take place on 16th October (17:30-20:30 – the debate will end at 19:15) and will be held at The Royal Horticultural Halls & Conference Centre, Greycoat Street, London, SW1P 2QD.
It’s free but booking is essential – contact The event is free but registration is essential. Email Ann Baldridge - ann@foodethicscouncil.org
